New breweries are popping up every year, and our old favorites are continuing to grow. It's safe to say the craft beer scene on Long Island remains one of the best in the country. In fact, Long Island is a destination for beer lovers all over the world. 

Our real estate agents love craft beer, and relaxing at local Long Island breweries is one of our favorite things to do on the weekends. We're lucky to have some of the best beer on the East Coast in our own backyard. There are so many awesome breweries on Long Island, that it'd be impossible to name them all; however, here is a quick list of some you should definitely explore:

  • Lithology Brewing - 211A Main St, Farmingdale, NY 11735
    IPAs, wheat beers, fruit beers, and seasonal favorites are on tap and can be enjoyed at Lithology Brewing. This cozy brewery and tasting room is a casual place with friendly neighborhood decor. Not sure what to try? Order a flight of all 12 taps for $25. Canned beer, cocktails, seltzers, and ciders are also available. Food is available to order from 2nd Kitchen.   • Six Harbors Brewing Company - 243 New York Ave, Huntington, NY 11743
    You're sure to have a good time at Six Harbors Brewing Company. A wonderful local brewery located in Huntington, this place has become the prime community gathering spot. In addition to fresh and delicious beer and plenty of seating, this brewery is also dog and kid-friendly. Not to mention, it's just down the road from some of our favorite Nassau County homes for sale.

  • Barrier Brewing - 3001 New St a2, Oceanside, NY 11572
    Barrier Brewing has such a diverse variety of beers (50+ in total), and with nearly two dozen taps, so you'll most certainly be able to find and enjoy your favorite style or try something new. The brewery is family-friendly and draws a fun crowd of locals on the weekends. Food trucks are often available throughout the week as well. The brewery is located in Oceanside, which is just a couple miles from Long Beach.

  • Barnshed Brewing - 100 Lauman Ln, Hicksville, NY 11801
    The Bethpage Blonde and 135 Pale Ale are two of the best beers at Barnshed Brewing. With 12 beers on tap, indoor and outdoor seating, and trivia and cornhole tournaments throughout the week, it's easy to see why this brewery made our list. Pets and kids are welcome, and there are frequently food trucks available on the weekends.

  • Great South Bay Brewery - 25 Drexel Dr, Bay Shore, NY 11706
    If you're looking for a cool place to hang out in Bay Shore, then a stop by Great South Bay Brewery is most certainly in order. With great beer (Jetty honey Ale is a must-try) and a brand-new pizza kitchen onsite, it's a great local hangout spot. Enjoy karaoke on Mondays, bingo on Wednesdays, and trivia on Thursdays. Plus, live music on the weekends!

  • Oyster Bay Brewing - 36 Audrey Ave, Oyster Bay, NY 11771
    This brewery serves delicious beer and celebrates its nautical history on the gold coast through its amazing taproom. The beer selection at Oyster Bay Brewing features an excellent local IPA, honey ale, seasonal favorites, and several seltzers. All beer is brewed onsite, and there is comfortable indoor and outdoor seating.
